WELCOME

Introduction to Ground Water Hydrology will provide you with the fundamentals and real world skills needed to work in the environmental field, to enroll in advanced ground water courses and to obtain advanced degrees. The course has been taught for over 20 years by one of the most accomplished applied hydrogeologists, Dr. Gary Robbins.  Graduates of the course have gone on to successful careers as environmental consultants, state and federal regulators, and college professors. Over the years, the course has evolved emphasizing the use of online material as an alternative to traditional textbook learning. Concepts are reinforced through the use of online slideshows, animations, videos, simulations, and relevant websites. Real world field testing and laboratory work are conducted to help build saleable skills in a competitive job market place. The course is divided into three parts: (1) the ABCs of all things ground water; (2) ground water storage, flow, and well hydraulics; and (3) water quality and contamination.  Look over the syllabus for detail subject matter and scheduling.
